Mari graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Nutrition & Dietetics in 2004. Mari has over 15 years of experience within the NHS and has specialised in various Mental Health Services including Adult Mental Health, Eating Disorders & Addictions. She currently works in Community Dietetics covering wide range of common physical health conditions including gastrointestinal issues, diabetes, low weight/poor appetite, respiratory and cardiac health.

In her Freelance work, besides providing a dietetic service for the health issues above, Mari’s area of special interest focuses on improving Women’s health. This includes using nutrition to address menstrual issues/disorders, fertility and menopause management.

Through her experience, Mari understands that a holistic approach is needed for better physical and mental health outcomes. Thus, nutritional assessments will take into consideration individual circumstances, health issues and lifestyle to then offer balanced diet and wellbeing advice.

As part of this, Mari is also available for private 1:1 yoga sessions as a compliment to the tailored nutritional plan. For information on private 1:1 yoga sessions, please visit Mari’s website here.
