MSc Physiotherapy, BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy

Eden graduated from the Robert Gordon University with a Masters degree in Physiotherapy, having previously achieved a 1st class honours degree in Sports Therapy from the University of Bedfordshire. Since then Eden has gained extensive experience working in the NHS, amateur and professional sport and running his own private physiotherapy business in Clarkston and the West End of Glasgow.

Eden has worked within the NHS for more than 20-years specialising in the treatment of spinal conditions. He has worked as a Clinical Specialist jointly leading the Back Pain Service in the South of Glasgow for patients with acute and chronic low back related symptoms. In this role Eden was gatekeeper to further imaging and secondary services including onward referral to Spinal, Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery. This position also required providing a consultancy role to physiotherapy colleagues regarding the management of patients with low back pain, including specialist investigations, surgical opinion, clinical psychology and pain services.

Currently, Eden works as Advanced Practice Physiotherapist within the regional spinal Neurosurgery setting at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Glasgow. This involves working closely with Neurosurgeons to provide highly specialised clinical diagnosis skills to determine the most appropriate spinal neurosurgical management needs e.g. listing for surgical operation, onward referral to other medical specialities, identification of rehabilitation needs for discharge.

In addition, Eden has an impressive track record in working with professional athletes in a number of sports. He has gained invaluable experience working with the likes of Dundee United Football Club and abroad in Australia, for the Queensland Reds rugby team.
